Inaugurated on Friday 22nd February at 5.30pm at the Baraccano, in via Santo Stefano, 119.
Space is also a tribute to local football, as in every stage of the traveling exhibition. Since the beginning of the trip, more than 100 thousand people have visited, a third of which are students of youth soccer schools.
A way to tell, not only the history of the sport most followed in the world, but also that of our country and its customs, all this through the collection of historical relics, including the ball used in the first international match played, a Scotland- England, back in 1872. Memories, but above all emotions, such as those that the leather sphere has given life to thousands of fans.
It is a Bologna that puts “On the road with the history of football”, and welcomes the fourteenth of fifteen stages of this traveling exhibition dedicated to World memorabilia from 1930 to today, with the jerseys of the champions of the past and a tribute to local football . The exhibition, which has the patronage of the Santo Stefano district, can be visited until March 3 in the “Elisabetta Possati” museum hall of the Complesso del Baraccano and is organized by AICS and curated by collectors of the international football museum Luigi Carvelli and Renato Mariotti . It will be a real dive into the world of football, with the opportunity to admire the authentic jerseys of champions such as Cruijff, Pele, Maradona and Falcao and even the models of football and shoes used in the first World Cup in 1930.
The exhibition of the International Football Museum is part of the project “The new Europeans” which received a contribution from the Municipality of Bologna.
