Every city grows and changes over time according to the needs of its inhabitants. Fiera District is an example of how Bologna has developed outside the historical centre, demonstrating how even the suburbs can become central places of democracy and cultural production.
A route starting from the former GAM by Leone Pancaldi, passing through the architecture and spaces designed by Kenzo Tange, leads visitors to the Padiglione de l’Esprit Nouveau. Conceived by Le Corbusier, it hosts until 3 March 2024 the photographic exhibition by Luisa Lambri, curated by Simone Menegoi and promoted by Arte Fiera in collaboration with Thomas Dane Gallery. The works on display are dedicated to two iconic architectures of 1970s Bologna: Alvar Aalto’s Church in Riola di Vergato and the Pavilion itself.
