Japan continues to be discovered in Bologna through the NipPop festival, now in its ninth edition.
Japan to taste is the title of this year’s event, dedicated to food and the rediscovery of flavors.
From Friday 17 to Sunday 19 May, the interior spaces and courtyards of the Santo Stefano district and the Teatro del Baraccano will come alive with the festival that explores the various aspects of contemporary Japanese culture.
Among the many protagonists of Japanese culture, a series of international guests beloved by the Italian public, including the writer Ogawa Ito, author of the award-winning novel “The restaurant of love rediscovered. And again Hirohiko Shoda – known as Chef Hiro. Space also for manga and illustration, with the participation of mangaka Est Em and Yoshiko Noda. There are also numerous Italian guests, including the writer Stefania Viti.
There will also be appointments for the little ones: the Baraccano Kids space – Il Baraccano dei piccoli offers a program dedicated to children and their families on 18-19 May, to approach them – having fun and experimenting – with the universe of Japanese culture.
