During the press conference for the presentation of the new Grand Tour Italia park, which ended recently at the headquarters in Via Paolo Canali in Bologna, with the presence of the mayor Matteo Lepore, Oscar Farinetti made official the opening date, which will be Thursday 5 September 2024.
The new park – also food-themed – is born after the experience of FICO and proposes a tour through 20 Italian regions, through gastronomic experiences that will change the offer to the public every month.
Admission will be free, as will parking, and immediately at the entrance the 59 Unesco sites in Italy will be celebrated, to emphasise to visitors that they are about to embark on a real journey through the regions of Italy made up of 5,000 steps of sensory and taste experiences.
Each region will have its own dedicated stand and, as mentioned, the creators of the gastronomic proposals will change every month, so that there will always be a different offer.
Food, but not only, however: in partnership with the Holden School of Turin, there will be space for literature, with a bookshop for new and second-hand books, and above all with Literary Thursdays and the telling of the great masterpieces of world literature.
Thanks to the international photo agency Magnum, there will also be space for photographic exhibitions on food and how it passes through our lives, from production to the pleasure of taste.
Finally, outside there will also be a go-kart track: to continue the fun after cooking.
